Welcome to Mei Ling's adoption journey!

Thank you for visiting our webpage about the adoption of our daughter from China. We are still many months away from meeting her, but will try to keep everyone updated.

In September of 2004, we began the process of adopting from China. We selected China in our hearts long before. Right before my 30th birthday, we met with Nancy at our agency, Adoption Links Worldwide, to discuss the process and sign with ALW. Soon afterward, we spent the day in adoptive parents training and met other couples who are adopting. We spent the rest of September and rest of fall "paperchasing," or gathering all the necessary paperwork for the homestudy. We completed our homestudy in December and begin the dossier process. We were DTC (dossier to China) on April 25, 2005. We were logged into the database in China (LID) on May 9, 2005. At that point, we started the wait for our daughter's referral.
